Quote of the Day
In the spiritual moonlight ocean of perfect love and bliss is a wonderful island. In that island is the forest of Vrndavana. In that forest of Vrndavana is a wonderful fair and dark young couple. (Prabodhananda Sarasvati, Vrndavana mahimamrta, Sataka 2 text 31)

Ram Navami / 33rd Anniversary festival
The 14th of April this year was Rama Naumi and marked the 33rd anniversary of Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir in Vrindavan. The devotees organized a very ecstatic festival this year that was relished by one and all.

Attracted and Affectionate Calf
For iron to be attracted by a magnet is natural. Similarly, for all living entities to be attracted toward Krsna is natural, and therefore the Lord’s real name is Krsna, meaning He who attracts everyone and everything.

The Krishna Balaram Mandir was personally established by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada on Rama Navami in 1975.

The temple is situated in Raman Reti, Vrindavan, U.P., where the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna displayed His transcendental pastimes 5,000 years ago. Sri Krishna and Balaram would herd Their cows at Raman Reti near the Yamuna River.

The temple has three altars. On the first altar are Sri Sri Gaura Nitai, the most merciful incarnations of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Nityananda Prabhu who appeared about 500 years ago at West Bengal. The divine brothers, Sri Krishna and Balaram, are worshiped on the central altar and on the third altar are Sri Sri Radha Shyamasundara along Their confidental gopis, Lalita and Vishakha.

Since 1975, the Sri Krishna Balaram Temple Complex has expanded considerably to fulfil Srila Prabhupada's vision for an international center in Vrindavan. You are most welcome to visit Vrindavan and see for yourself one of the most inspiring spiritual centers in the world.

The Deity is Sri Krishna Himself who has taken a form made of a material substance like marble just to make it convenient for us to worship Him. Pilgrims coming to the temple get the highest spiritual benefit by taking darshan of the Deities, by offering obeisances, by circumambulating the Deities and by partaking the charanamrita (water that has washed the lotus feet of the Lord).
