With a view to make the wooden altars more attractive and effulgent, in the special wooden carvings in all the three deity altars gold plating was done. The process of gold plating on wood and marble surfaces is known as GOLD LEAFING. The gold foils are pasted on the surfaces. To protect the gold plated portions from any external wear and tear polyvinyl lamination is done. This lamination process will add to the life of the gold leafing.

There was a pressing need for a spacious kitchen for cooking devotee prasadam. Recently we have completed construction of a new devotee kitchen with an area of 3500 square feet. Now the kitchen is very spacious with mezzanine floor, adequate storage place for groceries, cold storage facility for vegetables.

The temple building is already around 35 years old. Many places developed lot of cracks and leakages etc demanding immediate all-round attention. Firstly the temple roof area above the Deity altars was rennvoted. To avoid any leakage in the future, after water proofing treatments the present roof surface was replaced with ceramic tiles. Water proofing and tiling will also be done in other areas of the roof. (more…)
