Balarama Purnima Mahotsava, appearance day of Lord Shri Balram, was celebrated on the 5th August in a very grand manner.Deity altars,the temple hall, the courtyard, Srila Prabhupada Samadhi and all around the temple premises were beautifully decorated with varieties of flowers and green leaves. Both for Mangal Arti and for Darshan arti, new outfits were offered to all the deities sponsored by a devotee ( who would not like her name to be mentioned). Special garlands made of different flowers were offered to all the Deities.

At 8′o clock, a special class was arranged discussing the pastimes of Lord Balarama, delivered by His Holiness Umapati Swami Maharaj and His Grace Gopiparanadhana prabhu (in English) and by His Holiness Prabhodhananda Saraswati Swami Maharaj (in Hindi).

At 10,15 Maha Abhishek ceremony was performed of Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Utsava Deities accompanied by tumultuous kirtan by His Grace Aindra Prabhu and the devotees of 24 hour Sankirtan Party .Devotees brought and offered huge quantities on pure honey which is very dear to Lord Balaram, for the abhishek. At 11 Their Lordships were offered Maha bhoga of 200 varieties of dishes prepared with love and affection by many devotees.

At 2 p.m. Maha feast was served to the devotees and visiting guests at the new Prasadam hall. Around 1500 devotees honored prasadam.

At 7:30pm, the Utsav deities of Their Lordships Sri Sri Krishna Balarama were taken in a procession around the temple premises .
