Like every year the appearance day of Srimati Radharani was celebrated very enthusiastically by Her devotees. In our Gaudiya vaisnava sampradaya She is even given more importance than Sri Krishna, although He is Svayam Bhagavan, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the source of everything.

The temple was beautifully decorated with flowers brought from distant places. At 7.30am, the main darshantime, the deities were offered a new gorgeous dress.

At 10.15am the abhishekam of Sri Sri Radhe-Shyam began. Many of the devotees got the wonderful opportunity of personally offering abhishek to their Lordships.

In the afternoon at 4.30pm the Deities gave darshan with a magnificent floweroutfit, made by local devotees. It was very beautiful and very pleasing to the devotees as well as their Lordships. But what is most enlivening for the Devotees on that day is the darshan of Srimati Radharani’s lotusfeet. Because only on Radhastami it is possible to take that carandarshan.

The devotees as well as the visitors had the opportunity to take the darshan of the lotus feet of Srimati Radharani starting from 4.30p.m. in the evening. However there was a special darshan arranged exclusively for the devotees with deities wearing their night dress at 10 pm. Their Lordships also gave darshan with the same outfit next day 4.30am during the Mangala Aaratik.
