On 28th of January 2010, Sri Sri Krsna Balaram Mandir celebrated the festival of Nityananda Trayodasi, the appearance day of Lord Nityanada in a grand manner. This is one of the most important festivals for Gaudiya vaishnavas. Lord Nityananda is none another than Lord Balaram appeared to assist Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu in His pastimes and the mission of spreading holyname for delivering the fallen souls in the age of kali. Lord Nityananada is very merciful upon the fallen conditioned souls
ara kabe nitai-cander koruna hoibe
samsara-basana mora kabe tuccha ha’be
When will that day come when Lord Nityänanda’s causeless mercy is bestowed upon me so that my desire for material enjoyment becomes very insignificant?
visaya chariya kabe suddha ha ‘be mana
kabe hama herabo sri-brndabana
When my mind is completely purified, being freed from material anxieties and desires, then I shall be able to understand Våndävana and the conjugal love of Rädha and Kåñëa, and then my spiritual life will be successful.
The temple hall and the altars were wonderfully decorated with colorful flowers. All the deities were offered new outfits sponsored by HG Param Prabhu and his family. There was discourse glorifying Lord Nityananda and His pastimes by HH VirKrsna Goswami Maharaj and HG Deenabandhu prabhu in English. In Hindi the glorification was done by HH Prabhodananda Saraswati Swami Maharaj. Audio of the lectures Link
