The appearanceday of Sri Krishna, followed by the appearanceday of His pure devotee Srila A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, is one of the most enlivening festivals in our temple. Especially also because we are residing in Vraja and lakhs and lakhs of devotees are visiting our temple.

Sri Balarama’s appearance day

Sri Baladeva Prabhu, the first expansion of Bhagavan Sri Krishna, appears as the elder brother of Sri Krishna in this world. Although Sri Krishna is the source of everything, also of all beauty, in our temple Sri Balarama is very, very beautiful. And He is very sweet and kind to His devotees, who approach Him for various reasons, fulfilling their spiritual aspirations and destroying their difficulties.
This year we offered a new nightdress, for mangal aratrika, and as usual a new day dress. (more…)
Sri Sri Radha-Shyamasundar Jhulan-yatra

Like every year during the month of shravana, starting from the ekadashi tithi, pavitra ekadashi, till Balarama’s appearance day the beautifull jhulan-yatra of our utsava-murtis Sri Sri Radhe-Shyama and Their gopis Lalita and Vishaka was observed.
With great enthusiasm the pujaris celebrated with all the assembled devotees of our temple. (more…)

My spiritual life began in Vrndavana some 30 years ago at the lotus feet of Sri Sri Krsna Balarama, Sri Radha Syamasundara, and Sri Sri Gaura Nitai. I arrived on foot from Mathura and reached in the evening time and as I walked on the road approaching Vrndavana there were no people walking on that road but only many cows. (more…)
